Awareness Oriented

Structural Integration

A 10 session process

Please wear short/stretchy shorts, briefs, or underwear that will comfortably cover you. Sport bra, bathing suits, or tank-tops as well for coverage. For male-identified individuals, no shirt is okay.

We will examine your posture and movement patterns in standing, walking and in several spinal movements. This helps me get a feel for where things are healthy and free and where tissues may be a bit more "stuck".

At times I will ask you to do slow gentle movements during the treatment. These help to reprogram movement patterns and relieve tension more quickly. The work should not hurt, however there may be times of increased intensity.

I will also ask you to pay closer attention to your body, using Awareness to assist in deepening both relaxation and effectiveness of the hands-on work. Our bodies are communicating with us constantly, sometimes we just have to listen to heal.

It is best to stay hydrated so please bring or have a water bottle in your vehicle for afterwards. Also, plan on taking a short walk after we are complete to help with integration of the work. Give yourself time after treatments for this short walk to again increase somatic (bodily) Awareness. Notice the changes..

Sessions are generally scheduled about a week apart, however we will work to find a plan that best fits your needs.
